At H&C's Trees, we provide expert consulting advice and offer a wide selection of hardy nursery high-quality plants. Our services include nationwide delivery and planting. We cater to various plant sizes, ranging from 2-litre pot plants to 300-litre pot plants, necessitating different delivery methods. We ensure the safe transport of small plants through well-packaged cardboard boxes and use a courier service for delivering plants on pallets. Additionally, we utilise our vans for transportation. Our plant procurement involves buying from nursery growers in England, Italy, and The Netherlands. Moreover, we cultivate a significant number of plants ourselves. As a registered DEFRA member, all plant imports to the UK undergo declaration and are accompanied by a Phytosanitary certificate, ensuring disease prevention.

Once you place an order, our efficient team adds it to our processing system. They will then organise and notify you via email when your order is ready to be dispatched on a specific day. You can reach our scheduling department at myorder@HCtrees.uk between 8 am and 4 pm from Monday to Friday. The processing and dispatch time for plants can range from the next day to up to eight weeks, depending on the size of the plants purchased and the required delivery method.

Our semi-mature trees are transported horizontally in Luton vans. We consolidate multiple customer orders on the same van to optimise delivery charges, ensuring affordability or even waiving delivery fees. Consequently, delivery of semi-mature trees may take up to six weeks. If there is a delay in delivering your plants, we will promptly inform you and provide an updated estimated time of arrival, typically within an eight-week timeframe.

Our nursery-quality plants are healthy, robust, and thriving. However, we prune them in spring to encourage optimal shaping for the future, resulting in variations in plant appearance throughout the year. The photos on our website typically depict the plants during their peak, such as our Camellia japonica plants in full bloom during April. Please note that the same plant will be smaller in spring and less visually appealing in winter, without any flowers. Therefore, your purchase may not always resemble the specimen shown on the website.

Some of our plants are deciduous, which means they shed their leaves during late autumn, winter, and the early months of spring. Please be aware that these plants are dormant during this period and not dead. We have previously received complaints about plants appearing deceased during this time, but they are simply undergoing their natural cycle. Additionally, we have semi-evergreen plants that retain their leaves throughout most winters but may lose them in exceptionally cold weather, only to regrow them in spring.

Our team takes utmost care while loading and packaging your plants to ensure they remain undamaged. However, minor stem damage may occasionally occur during transit, which is unavoidable. If such damage significantly affects the plant's shape or causes harm to a major stem, we will provide a replacement.

To maintain the health and aesthetics of our plants, we regularly apply fungicides and insecticides to prevent leaf damage. Despite our diligent efforts, it is still possible to experience minor insect damage or preventable fungal issues like black spot fungus, as they are already present in most gardens. This ongoing battle against these challenges in the UK necessitates continued spraying to ensure your plants can thrive in your garden.

For plants purchased through and planted by H&C's Trees, we offer a 6-month guarantee. Plants purchased but not planted by H&C's Trees have a one-month guarantee. However, this guarantee is valid only if you carefully read and follow our aftercare instructions and the basic recommendations for planting, watering, and feeding outlined on our website's homepage. Plants can experience varying degrees of shock, especially new ones, depending on the care they receive. It is crucial to promptly notify us if your plants begin to struggle or deteriorate.
