Red Robin - Hedging

The Red Robin is a highly popular and classic evergreen shrub. It is a medium-sized shrub with dense foliage. The leaves emerge in a glossy, vibrant red colour and mature to a lush green shade. This versatile plant can be used to create a colourful hedge or as a striking specimen plant, making it a must-have addition to any garden. Once the fresh and vibrant red growth transitions to predominantly green, it is the ideal time to prune Photinias, unless they are being used for hedging purposes. If you're creating a hedge, it should be regularly sheared as needed, but avoid pruning the Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' during winter.
